The launch, which took place at the Web Summit Qatar 2024, marked a significant milestone in Qatar’s journey towards establishing itself as a prominent player in the global startup ecosystem.
Empowering Startups Through Comprehensive Support
Within a mere six days of its inauguration at the Web Summit Qatar 2024, Startup Qatar has garnered immense traction, recording over 3,000 visits to its platform. This rapid uptake underscores the palpable enthusiasm among both domestic and international startups to capitalize on the burgeoning opportunities offered by Qatar’s vibrant entrepreneurial landscape.

As part of its comprehensive suite of offerings, Startup Qatar has facilitated the seamless registration of more than 100 businesses through the support of Qatar Financial Centre. Additionally, the Startup Qatar Investment Program, administered by the Qatar Development Bank (QDB), has received an overwhelming influx of over 150 applications during the inaugural event.
The investment program, tailored to attract tech startups at various stages of growth, provides crucial funding opportunities along with a gamut of incentives and support services. These initiatives, coupled with existing privileges and subsidies, position Qatar as an enticing destination for startups seeking to thrive in a conducive environment.
Pioneering Residency Initiatives to Attract Global Talent
In tandem with Startup Qatar, Qatar Manpower Solutions Co. (Jusour) has unveiled the Mustaqel program, a pioneering government-backed residency initiative aimed at attracting top-tier entrepreneurs and professionals from across the globe. Under this scheme, individuals excelling in diverse industries are eligible for a five-year residency permit, with the option of renewal, thereby fostering long-term engagement and collaboration.
